TAG Heuer Unveils A New Carrera Chronograph In Gold

Marking the 60th anniversary of the Carrera Chronograph, TAG Heuer unveiled its newest Carrera Chronograph. With a tribute to the vintage era, the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph traces its origins to Jack Heuer, the most famous leader of the storied brand. As the last member of the Heuer family to manage the manufacturer, Jack merged HEUER with LEONIDAS in 1964 and his most famous timepieces are the caliber 11, the first automatic chronograph movement, Monaco, and the iconic Carrera watches.

The visionary also created a partnership with Enzo Ferrari in 1971, cementing HEUER with Formula 1. Jack also was known to give gold timepieces to racing drivers and this watch builds upon that legacy and presents a subtle nod to Heuer’s storied past.

Housed in a 18k 3N yellow gold case, this watch follows other new introductions throughout the year including the Carrera Chronograph x Porsche Orange Racing in February 2023, the Carrera Chronograph Glassbox in March 2023, the Carrera Skipper in July 2023, and the Carrera Chronosprint x Porsche in September 2023.

In the line’s signature 39-mm diameter, the watch boasts contrasting black azuré subdials at three-and-nine-o’clock, below a domed sapphire crystal. The Carrera Chronograph is powered by the TH20-00 movement with an impressive 80-hour power reserve and the highlight of this piece is the sleek golden case with its innovative Glassbox design.
