Last year I tried a course of EMFACE treatments with the absolutely brilliant Teresa Tarmey at her amazing clinic and I have finally gotten around to writing about it! If you have been wondering what EMFACE is and how it works, I have all the info here.
EMFACE FAQ
Who is most suitable for this treatment?
This treatment is suited to preventative, corrective, and/or restorative treatment and can be beneficial to a wide range of age groups.
How many EMFACE treatments do you need?
The recommended treatment course is four 20-minute sessions with each treatment 5-10 days apart.
Are there any risks with EMFACE treatments?
The treatment has minimal risks and it is a very safe, noninvasive technology.
What happens during an EMFACE treatment?
Unlike manual sculpting methods and topical firming products, EMFACE is able to make long-term structural improvements to the face and quality of the skin. Pads are applied to the face for the device to target specific muscle groups including the frontalis to elevate the eyebrows as well as the zygomaticus to raise the corners of the mouth.
Does EMFACE hurt?
I found EMFACE completely pain-free. There is gentle warmth from the radio frequency and involuntary muscle movement that takes a few seconds to get used to as you move up through the intensity levels.
Is EMFACE an alternative to botox and filler?
The innovation is tapping into a market which is looking for a natural lift, without needles or injectables and requires no pre or post down-time.
How long does EMFACE last?
The results from a course of four treatments is expected to last for around 12 months.
Where can you get EMFACE treatments?
I had my treatments with Teresa Tarmey in her amazing Notting Hill clinic, however, the treatment is available at a range of different locations.
