Men who are about to get married typically have a lot on their minds. If you are in this position, your life is about to change. You may feel a great deal of excitement about the future, but you may have some trepidation as well.

With so much to think about, selecting a wedding ring will hopefully not be too much of an issue for you. Maybe you think choosing the best men’s rose gold wedding band is the way to go, and you’re not overthinking it. It’s just as likely you’re agonizing over the minutia associated with your big day, though, and even this relatively simple decision is making you sweat.

Let’s make things as easy for you as possible. This handy guide should help you with choosing a band that you’ll hopefully enjoy wearing for the rest of your life.

Find One That’s in Your Price Range

First, you’ll want to think about how much you can spend on your wedding band. Presumably, you want one that looks nice, but you also don’t want to spend beyond your means.

There are very nice rings you can get for $100 or thereabouts. You can also get one that costs $10K or more.

Talk to your partner about this. The two of you should be on the same page with what you’re willing to spend.

Figure Out Whether to Go to a Store In-Person or Whether You Can Buy the Ring Online

Next, think about whether you’re okay buying a ring online and having it shipped to you or whether you’d feel better about going to a store and trying one on in person. You can get just about anything shipped to you these days, but most grooms-to-be feel better about going to a brick-and-mortar store to try on a band.

Even if you know your ring size, there’s no guarantee that the one you get shipped to you will feel right on your finger. It’s probably better to go to a jeweler, where you can try on some different options and get the band adjusted if necessary.

Decide Whether to Get Your Ring Engraved or Not

Next, you’ll want to think about whether you want the ring to be engraved with anything or not. You should feel under no obligation to do this, but it might be nice if you and your partner get it done. Maybe you’ll simply get their initials engraved on the inside of the band, or perhaps you want a short saying that reminds you of them.

Decide Whether You Want Matching Rings

Finally, talk to your partner about whether you both want matching rings or not. You might want to buy them from the same designer so they are similar. Then again, you may decide jointly that’s not something that matters a great deal to you.

Make sure to communicate with your partner as you go through this process, and don’t let any unwanted feelings of stress spoil what should be a happy time.
